QA Engineer
Ensure carrier-grade quality for VoIP platforms and communication APIs. Full-time, Ramat Gan / Remote.
About the Role
We're looking for a QA Engineer who understands that telecom systems demand a higher standard of quality. You'll own the test strategy for platforms that handle millions of concurrent calls, validating everything from SIP protocol compliance to API correctness to UI responsiveness — with automated testing at the core of your approach.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute test strategies for VoIP platforms, communication APIs, and web applications
- Build and maintain automated test suites using Playwright, Cypress, and custom SIP testing tools
- Perform SIP protocol testing, call flow validation, and codec verification across multiple VoIP engines
- Develop performance and load testing frameworks using k6 and custom tools to simulate carrier-grade traffic
- Test API endpoints for correctness, security, rate limiting, and edge cases
- Validate WebRTC functionality across browsers and devices
- Collaborate with developers to define acceptance criteria and identify regression risks early
- Maintain test documentation, defect tracking, and quality metrics dashboards
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional QA engineering experience
- Strong experience with test automation frameworks (Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium)
- Experience with API testing tools (Postman, REST Client, or custom scripts)
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated test integration (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
- Familiarity with performance testing concepts and tools (k6, JMeter, or Locust)
- Strong analytical and debugging skills with ability to isolate complex issues
- Experience with version control (Git) and agile methodologies
- Experience with AI-based testing and automation tools (Claude Code, Copilot, or similar AI assistants)
- Excellent communication skills in English
Nice to Have
- Experience with VoIP/telecom testing (SIP, RTP, call quality measurement)
- Knowledge of SIPp, SIPVicious, or other SIP testing tools
- Experience with network packet analysis (Wireshark, tcpdump)
